Intro:
The Russia-Ukraine war that has started out in the month of February this year was rumoured to turn into a war long before it turned so. The situation which started off as a dispute quickly escalated into something much more devastating. Everyone had a lot to say about the far from their perspective. While some spoke of stopping Russia, assuming Russia to be the big villain, some spoke supporting U. S sanctions on Russia, although Russia’s trade with Europe stayed intact despite all the sanctions and some spoke about Ukraine’s plight after it’s Non- Proliferation and it’s run for support from other nations. U.S’ age long interest in Ukraine is one of the reasons for Ukraine’s dependency on the West. It took time for Ukraine to see through every nation it thought it could rely on.
Helpless Ukraine
U.S has always meddled with nations, out of concern or for strategic advantage is Little known to the world. U.S has shown interest in Ukraine, it showed Ukraine that it can depend on U.S, taking into view the Chernobyl incident in the 1986, U.S helped clean the meltdown, it also helped in Ukraine’s non proliferation where Russia was involved too, with their own self benefitting scheming behind the curtain. That’s what any country would do. No existing power can stomach a potentially powerful immediate neighbour. U.S will stay U.S and will not stomach another raising power. It’s improbable that the Nations were helping Ukraine considering the fact that both nations knew Ukraine’s potential in Nuke tech and just like that Ukraine was stripped off of it’s Nukes under the mask of Non- Proliferation treaty.
Did Ukraine not think of it’s safety and security for the future?
Ukriane possessed the 3rd largest Nuclear Arsenal in the world after the fall of the Soviet. During the NPT Ukraine returned all it’s Nuclear warheads to Russia in exchange for economic compensation and security assurance and aid from both U.S and Russia and their commitment to seek UNSC action and assistance in case Ukraine substantially became a victim of an act of aggression or threat of aggression, now that Ukraine is under mentioned circumstances U.S lifts it’s palms up and says it never promised direct support, done and dusted
Far-fetched support for Ukraine
Ukraine’s non-proliferation treaty included U.S, Russia and Britain respecting Ukraine’s Sovereignty as a state and it’s territorial integrity and restraining from any aggression/ threat toward the state considering it’s non- Proliferation, Russia has violated the agreement annexing Crimea in 2014. Present day when Ukraine’s found finding it’s refuge under West’s wing Russia again barges-in in the name of Liberating the Donbas region of Eastern Ukraine. Now that Ukraine’s crushed under Russia’s foot, U.S stands watch with it’s arms folded and a loud mouth which talks about everything except the promised
assistance. The so called European Union that seemed to support and strengthen Ukraine with arms seems to go quiet when it came to Ukraine’s membership. Ukraine was denied of immediate EU membership. Can the world call it deciet? Ukraine’s President Mr. Zelensky calls it apparently so.
India’s Stand
India took a neutral stand on the issue for which India was called “Shaky” by the U.S whereas Russia appreciated India’s non- involvement in the issue. India was asked by Ukraine to use it’s diplomatic relations with Russia to request ceasefire. Threats like the recent one where Deputy NSA Mr. Daleep Singh said “Russia wouldn’t come running if china came breaching LAC again”. Criticism on buying Russian oil was made by a U.S reporter in the recent 2+2 ministerial meeting with the U S were made. The urging and pressure from other major powers on India to pick a side was exigent.
While India’s dependency on Russia was one reason for India’s neutrality on the other hand India picking 'a side’ would have worse consequences for India than it brings any mere good. India wasn’t shaky nor did it quiver any criticism or threats. It stood it’s ground on being neutral pushing back West’s pressure and criticism securing it’s National Interest.
Conclusion
The amount of assistance and help Ukriane expected against a threat like this unfortunately does not match reality. The U.S has dealt it’s cards almost all over the world, reports say that U.S was either directly involved or had it’s military presence in atleast 84 countries all over the world. The U.S has watched Nations fall right under it’s nose, although on the other hand non- involvement of U.S troops is favoured by most as the least of what the world wants is another Afghanistan or Iraq under the U.S.
It is truly said that “ whoever controls the flow of information controls the World” and the U.S excels in it and also in moulding the truth over News and Media from a country’s National news to every social media platform on every smart phone the West’s information monopoly triumphs and the truth is modified and concocted into a vicious cycle of propoganda and information warfare and the World can see the west winning it.
As long as the west is hovering it’s shadow over Ukraine, Russia’s presence will stay in Ukrainian soil or so goes with any of Russia’s immediate neighbours, Russia will Secure it’s national interst, as would the U.S, India, Ukraine or any other Nation.
